Stahly Engineering is contracted to construct a new elementary school in the City of Townsend. The original building was constructed in 1952 and had issues such as leaks, water damage, heating issues, and rooms that were not ADA compliant. The school district was in need of a replacement building to better suit the learning environment of the students.
The new two-story building is being built on the existing elementary school playground, with constraints because of the existing school continuing to be occupied during construction. The project consists of a 52,860 SF new elementary school, 2,480 SF band room connector, 1,420 SF library connector, and a 17,070 SF middle school interior remodel.
