Overview

Stahly Engineering spent considerable time not only surveying the properties within Indian Trail Tracts but also researching the Montana Attorney General’s opinions and Montana Supreme Court Cases related to our client’s boundary issues. We resolved the boundary issues and recorded a retracement survey with Lewis and Clark County.

Details

Indian Trail Tracts near Holter Lake were created by deeds in 1959 before Montana’s Subdivision and Platting Act. A 1964 survey confirmed the westerly boundary as the section line between Sections 33 and 34. In 2008, a retracement survey introduced a ‘gap,’ leading to a dispute.
