The pedestrian trail system in the Three Forks area extends to the Madison River, from both the west and the east sides of the river. Utilizing CTEP funding from the Montana Department of Transportation, the Town of Three Forks funded a new bridge to connect the trail system across the Madison River.
The new bridge provided a single span premanufactured steel superstructure, to be placed on driven steel H-piles and concrete abutments. The construction of the new bridge allows residents to safely cross the Madison River, and better utilize the trail system currently in place.
