Summer Internship

You’re not here to make copies. You’re here to figure out what kind of engineer you want to become.

At Stahly, interns become part of project teams and get a firsthand look at how engineering works in the real world. You might spend one day working alongside a project engineer on a design, the next in the field observing construction, and another learning from a survey crew or helping develop plans for a Montana community.

Because we’re a multidisciplinary firm, you’ll have opportunities to explore different areas of engineering and surveying while working with people who are invested in helping you grow.

• Get real experience. Work on active projects and contribute to work that communities, businesses, and public agencies rely on.
• Learn from people who do the work. Ask questions, work alongside experienced engineers and surveyors, and see how classroom concepts translate to real projects.
• Try different things. Explore civil, structural, transportation, water, municipal, surveying, planning, and other areas to discover where your interests and strengths fit.
• Get out of the office. Depending on your role, you may visit jobsites, assist with field work, observe construction, or see a project take shape from design through completion.
• Build your network. Our offices are connected by a shared culture, but each has its own projects, people, and opportunities. You’ll build relationships that can continue long after your internship ends.
